Introduction
This How-To covers the bulk removal of voicemail messages in Embedded Voicemail.
Steps:
1: Connect to the IP Office via DTE/Serial Cable
Connect to the IP Office using a DTE/Serial Cable via HyperTerminal or PuTTY using the following settings:
Bits per second: 38,400
Parity: None
Flow Control: None
Data Bits: 8
Stop Bits: 1
Settings | Emulation: TTY
2: Remove all Voicemail Messages
If you want to remove all voicemail on the system, use the following commands to do this. If you want to remove specific voicemail, skip to Step 3. Enter the following command followed by Enter:
AT
This should give you an “OK” message. Once the “OK” message has been received, enter the following command and press Enter:
at-debug
This should give you a “hello” message. Once the “hello message has been received, enter the following command followed by Enter:
ivm-msg-del-all
This should have now removed all voicemail messages on the SD system.
3: Remove Specific Voicemail Messages
Enter the following command followed by Enter:
AT
This should give you an “OK” message. Once the “OK” message has been received, enter the following command and press Enter:
at-debug
This should give you a “hello” message. Once the “hello message has been received, enter the following command followed by Enter:
ivm-mbox-show
This will list all available voicemail boxes on the system. To select the specific voicemail box, enter the following command followed by Enter:
ivm-mbox-show nnn (where nnn is the mailbox number)
This will display all available voicemail messages within the mailbox. From here, you have 2 options, clear specific messages or clear all messages from the specific mailbox. To delete specific voicemail messages, enter the following command followed by Enter:
ivm-msg-del nnn dd/dd/dd hh:mm:ss (where nnn is the mailbox number, dd/dd/dd is the date and hh:mm:ss is the time of the voicemail)
To delete all voicemail messages in the specific mailbox, enter the following command followed by enter:
ivm-mbox-clear nnn (where nnn is the mailbox number)
Conclusion
You should now be able to delete specific or all voicemail messages on an Embedded Voicemail system.
anyway to do this in absence of a DTE/Serial Connection? – our customer is remote.

Unfortunately I am not aware of any way of doing this without the DTE/Serial Connection.
